elcome to 2011 Beijing International Book Fair
The 18th Beijing International Book Fair will be held in the China International Exhibition Center (the new hall) from August 31 to September 4, 2011. This book fair will cover an exhibition area of 536,000 square meters, with more than 2000 exhibition stands for over 2000 exhibitors from 60 countries and regions that have enrolled in this event, among which there are over 1,000 oversea exhibitors (including those from Hong Kong and Taiwan).
The Netherlands will participate in this book fair as the Guest of Honor, taking up an exhibition area of 1,500 square meters. During the book fair, the Netherlands will organize more than 20 publishing houses to attend the fair, and initiate exchanges on professional publishing, between writers and on cultures. On the eve of the opening ceremony of the book fair, the National Centre for the Performing Arts will put on a theatrical performance with unique Dutch characteristics.
During the book fair, a series of expertise meetings and forums will follow one and another, including 2011 Beijing International Publishing Forum, BIBF 10+10 Seminar of International Publishers, High-level Dialogue on Publishing, Digital Publishing Forum, BIBF Night of Literature, etc. The purpose of them is to deepen the mutual understanding of Chinese and foreign cultures, and to facilitate the international copyright trading. The 18th Beijing International Book Fair welcomes all publishing entities, both at home and abroad, to take part in the copyright trading, cultural exchanges, and to promote and exhibit their own products, and earnestly hopes that all will find their trips to the fair fruitful!

Country of Honour
 With the slogan “Open Landscape, Open Book”, the Netherlands participates 2011BIBF as the Country of Honor. Located at 2E.A02 in Hall E2, the Dutch pavilion covers as big as 1,508 square meters. The design of the pavilion is inspired by the natural beauty of blue sky and cloud in the Netherlands. The pavilion is consisted of sections like: reception, show of arts books, children’s book illustrations, exhibition of Van Gogh, auditorium etc.
25 publishing houses display their works of literature, children’s books, arts books, so on and so forth. 25 Dutch authors and illustrators are coming to Beijing to meet the Chinese readers and authors. Various professional events, film festival, art exhibition will bring you a cultural feast!

- The 2011 Beijing International Publishing Forum The 18th Beijing International Book Fair will commence on August 31, 2011. The day before the opening ceremony, the annual Beijing International Publishing Forum will take the lead in exploring the experiences, successes and development trends of the Chinese publishing industry and its cooperation with foreign publishers. This year’s theme is “Direction of International Publishing in the Digital Age ". Fill out the attached application form and send it to us ASAP and we’ll reserve you a spot. The price for attendance is RMB 900 for a full day per person, and includes a complimentary lunch on the day of the forum.
