历经五十余年的业务积累，图书文献事业部与海外数千家出版社、书商、学协会、代理商建立了长期、友好的业务往来关系；负责海外及台港澳图书文献的订购业务，包括图书、教材、会议录、丛书丛刊、科技报告等各类出版物，以及上述产品的电子版、缩微版；负责北京国际图书博览会的展品组织、展览、留购和销售业务及与图书文献进口有关的其他业务。

    部门利用现代信息网络技术为图书馆量身打造的海外图书采选解决方案PSOP，可方便支持图书馆外文图书文献采选工作，实现了外文图书文献采选网络化、信息化、便捷化。此外，每月还编辑出版《中图进口图书文献目录》，每年出版《北京国际图书博览会展品目录》，并根据客户需求不定期编辑出版教材、高科技文献等专题目录。

With over fifty of its business development,it has maintained directly or indirectly a long-term and friendly business relationship with thousands of publishers,associations,institutions,and booksellers worldwide.Its main service features in the following aspects:A:To provide domestic clients with books and severais published overseas including the ragions of Taiwan,Hong Kong and Macao.The import products cover all kinds of publications and their electronic versions.B:To organize and arrange the international exhibits,their display,retain and sales for the annual Beijing International Book Fair.

It has set up the well known PSOP platform which provides a complete solution to the Chinese library acquisition system.To facilitate libraries and readers in their publication selection,it produces various catalogs as well.In order to meet the needs of growing market for overseas textbook,it has set up the “New Book Showroom”and the “Overseas Textbook Showroom”in the office building.
